Every checkout and check-in builds an item's chain of custody — a complete, time-stamped account of who held it and when.
What the record captures
For each leg of custody, Armory Intel records:
- The officer and the purpose
- Condition at checkout and at check-in
- Digital signatures on issue and return
- Location (when captured) and timestamps
Reviewing it
Open an item's detail page to see its checkout history, or generate a chain-of-custody report from the Reports section for a clean, exportable record.
Because every step is logged, you can always answer "where was this, and who had it?" for any item — the question that's hard to answer with a sign-out sheet.
