Roles explained
What Admins, Armorers, and Viewers can each do in Armory Intel.
Every login is assigned a role that determines what they can see and do. Roles keep sensitive configuration in the right hands while letting the whole team work day-to-day.
Admin
Full access. Admins can do everything an Armorer can, plus:
- Configure the organization (profile, ranks, units, logo)
- Define qualification types, maintenance schedules, item subtypes, and issue reasons
- Manage users and assign roles
- Configure notification recipients
Armorer
The day-to-day operational role. Armorers can:
- Add, edit, and manage inventory
- Check items out and back in
- Record maintenance
- View personnel and qualifications
Armorers cannot change organization settings or manage users.
Viewer
Read-only access to operational data — inventory, personnel, qualifications, checkout history, maintenance logs, and reports. Viewers cannot create or change records.
Roles can be changed at any time by an Admin under Settings. Assign the lowest role that lets each person do their job.
